Here’s an illustration for Game Developer magazine article published about 3 months ago. It was an article written in first person by the hero of Ninja Blade discussing how other videogame heroes are ridiculous with their absurd scenarios and how in comparison his life is much more believable and real.
The best “modern ninja” design is still Shinobi.

Good news: I finally passed my first and second 12s in IIDX. They were A and Ristaccia, though I think they are pretty easy 12s.
Bad news: I have absolutely no new worthwhile material to post.
However, I was looking back in my folder and I found some stuff that I figure should be alright to post, though I think it’s pretty embarrassing.
Earlier in the year, I was approached by some people that was working with Kotaku to make a shirt for them. It would have a so-called Kotaku-tan on it, and I would design that character. The following is a sort of design process that I went through (or lack of).
This was my first rendition of Kotaku-tan without any specifics given. I thought it was alright (I’m not a good designer, btw). Yes, I had about five different friends tell me to draw Slowpoke.
More after the break.

So PSZero came out today and apparently, nobody gives a hoot. There’s nary a review or an ad for the game to be seen on all of the internet. It’s almost impossible to find in physical stores and is certain to be a financial flop. Shocking, I know.

Tollmaster, what did you think about it?
I actually really enjoyed it, coming in with no expectations (and also not being well versed enough in Macross legacy, though my roommate explained to me the pineapple cake). Oh, how I wish that Klan Klan had more screentime.

I installed Windows 7 when it went live, so I had to futz with my tablet settings, thus this practice sketch. I originally tried to draw Ranka and Sheryl, but I need a little more practice with their hair…
By the way, anyone know how to turn off the windows pen tablet clicking animation and notation? It’s incredibly annoying and distracting because it doesn’t play nice with openCanvas 3. Nevermind (again), thanks!
Maybe I’ll draw some Bakemonogatari next…after I get over midterms and papers.

I’m currently juggling my life between school and Demon’s Souls.
