See you next mission

Zero Suit
This was drawn for Alex of Skullgirls (his site can be found here). I was in a drawing block for a while after AX, so he requested a Samus out of me to help me get going, so thanks goes out to him. He and Persona already know each other, but I met him for the first time at the convention; he’s a very cool guy and has an excellent talent in art, especially his girls. I only barely talked to him there, so here’s to hoping that I’ll get a better spot next year.

Here’s an edit that came into mind while I was drawing Zero Suit.
Actually, I’m a little disappointed that there hasn’t been new developments in the actual Metroid sequels. Prime is probably the bigger moneymaker, but I would love a follow up to Fusion. It was actually the first Metroid game I beat (though not the first to attempt) and it really was a good game, despite all the hate I was hearing about the linear paths. I proceeded to beat Zero Mission, too, which I thought wasn’t as interesting, but still fun as hell. Ironically, the two only Metroid games that I beat were also the two Metroid games that were stolen/lost.

Unicron

I’m trying to take most of my art offline as much as possible; I want to produce works completely through analogue means, so I’m trying out different things these days. My wife found a cache of oil pastels among her things, so I started working with them last night.

I’m on a bit of an Orson Welles kick these days, and considering that Transformers opened this week, what better person to try my hand at oils with than the biggest, baddest robot there ever was?

I think this cleaned-up photo doesn’t quite do the piece justice.

Post-AX

So AX wasn’t too bad. Though the doujin didn’t go so well, I managed to sell out of my prints and armbands. Got some commissions, too.
I did get cut out of the doujin, though, so here are the pages that were supposed to go in there.
