Battle Routine, Set — Execute!

Blues from Rockman Battle Network
When Megaman Battle Network first came out, I really enjoyed the environment and scenario the game setup: it being an alternate universe from the classic Megaman series, a world where society decided to follow Dr. Light’s path of AI and the internet as opposed to Dr. Wily’s proposition of super fighting robots and general shit-havoc. All the characters were really charming and the story felt just pleasant enough that it seemed fun to play even if they were to turn it into a serial series with a new sequel every year.

I kind of ate those words when the next five billion sequels came out.

Anyway, I still really liked how the game felt like I was exploring a real living world with its isometric niceness, and I particularly enjoyed the new Protoman/Zero fusion character who wordlessly followed the orders of his master, a 12 year old netbattling hotshot asshole. It’s too bad Capcom never got smart enough to realize they could’ve had a real winner on their hand if they allowed players to cuxtomize their own Net Navi instead of always making the player use Megaman. I mean, come on - user customization is THE way to hook players now! Stop living in your Old Osaka Yakuza ways, Capcom. :/

Shiny stuff is hard.

Demon queen or something

Tell me how to color shiny things. I don’t know how.

school

school

I did these guys for this short film I’m working on. Inspired by Haruhi… and I guess every other school anime I’ve seen in my life. They only have 2 frames as they are BACKGROUND characters.

RON

NANI?!?!
Akagi
So I just recently downloaded Akagi, though I’m about 2 years late. In any case, I’ve watched a few episodes and already I have high regards for it. And it’s really just about this natural gambling genius and mahjong. I don’t know a single thing about it, but it’s still riveting as hell. Think of it as the Hikaru no Go before Hikaru no Go, only with yakuza and without that trap. I’d recommend it to anyone, especially those who know mahjong. And Akagi is just plain cool; he’s a ruthless bastard with an unwavering will.
Akagi’s art style is really strange, though. I tried to imitate it bit here, but it really is nothing compared to the bizzare facial proportions that’s actually in the show. I was horrified at first to see that a screencap that I saw was indeed not photoshoped, but the style has already grown on me.

EDIT:
Here’s an edit. I think it’s a bit too much red.

If I wasn’t about to pass out I’d take some time to actually draw this properly… but,.. vision… fading… ability to comprehend anything… gonnnee… yep i’m donne

Tuber Mariel wishes to fight!

Tuber Mariel
I haven’t played Pokemon at all (the last game I played was Yellow) but there is apparently a character named TUBER MARIEL in the Diamond/Pearl so she had to be drawn. I am not used to drawing loli or Pokemon and I think it’s apparent, but whatever.

EDIT: I made a better version.
