This will never actually get finished. I think being a mecha designer would be tons of fun. Imagine being the guy at the company who’s only job is to draw robots. Pity that such a job probably doesn’t exist here. I guess maybe if you really like that battletech tripe.

I have little to no love for cars. The only way I could ever render one is with the secret hope that it may very well be, a robot in disguise. This is for my doctor as he’s retiring. And like most doctors, he loves the porsche.

I’m trying to take most of my art offline as much as possible; I want to produce works completely through analogue means, so I’m trying out different things these days. My wife found a cache of oil pastels among her things, so I started working with them last night.
I’m on a bit of an Orson Welles kick these days, and considering that Transformers opened this week, what better person to try my hand at oils with than the biggest, baddest robot there ever was?
I think this cleaned-up photo doesn’t quite do the piece justice.

This is a painting of my friend I did for another friend’s birthday. I did it at the last minute as a gag present this afternoon before the party. It looks kind of wonky but oh well.
done on illustration board with gouache.

Also here’s a venom.

Please look forward to more updates on this wonderful visublog of future.

Here’s one of the two covers for this year’s AX doujin. There will be a title up top but I don’t know what it is yet.

Everyone that’s going to AX this year, please look for it in the artist alley and buy a copy!
