FUCKING GURREN WEEK - GARlock
The one thing I regret about Gurren Lagann is that we were never given the epic Captain Harlock-esque Simon and his deep voiced, right hand man Boota. It makes me tiger cry. ;_;

FUCKING GURREN WEEK - Who the hell needs legs
I thought that the final Gurren would have been more natural for me to draw since it looks more like a GOD than a mech, though the insane details stopped me. That is until I cheated and just made it all black. Maybe if I clean it up some more, I’ll get it printed out.
I thought the final episode was one of the best climatic ends I’ve ever seen, especially for a series that seemed to never stop getting more crazy with each passing episode. The epilouge was a little…sad? They should have just all become space pirates or something.
I think I’ll go try to draw the meganekko engineer next.

FUCKING GURREN WEEK - ep27 4 koma
Gurren Lagann’s last episode was kind of immediately disappointing but upon reflection, pretty satisfying. I mean, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to see a series and say “OH MY FUCKING GOD, THEY JUST DID NOT THROW A FUCKING GALAXY AT EACH OTHER!!” or “HOLY SHIT, THEY ARE *NOT* FIGHTING ON A FUCKING MILKY WAY?!” I just wished Simon and Nia had a better ending.
Also, I really wanted to see fucking GARlock in episode 1. I swear, I kept watching that first five minutes over and over again throughout the entire post-time skip, hoping and wishing that he’d finally show up. Then, finally when shota-Boota popped up in 26, I was totally expecting to see some epic GAR developments but then he ended up de-evolving into a mole pig again.
Also, why is Boota still a baby mole pig when he’s already 27+ years old? Is he the Gary Coleman of the mole pig world?
