So bakemonogatari was pretty good.

I’ve also been busy wrapping up clean-up work on promotional art on an upcoming game. I guess it’s supposed to be a big deal; you’ll see it on store shelves in a couple of months.
Unfortunately, a stick of my RAM fucking blew up and work on my computer has been excruciatingly slow.
But good news. I passed two more 12s: Laster Cruster and Setsugekka.

Anyway, I’ve been meaning to draw some bakemonogatari. So here’s a quick and terrible sketch done today:

Edit: I gave her an arm. And I drew Ararararagi.

Yes, I’m late on my anime. But this show was most certainly a surprise and I throughly enjoyed it. Who was your favorite character (mine is obviously Senjougahara)?

More content after the break.

I also half-assed a Saber from the new Fate/extra game. Looks interesting; the guy behind Etrian Odyssey/7th Dragon is involved.

Lineart can be found here.

Recently, I’ve been getting people asking me what kind of brush settings on Photoshop I use to sketch my drawings. So I might as well answer it here.
I actually do not use Photoshop, Painter, Sai, or etc. I still use openCanvas 3 because the settings are very easy to control and I think it makes the best lineart for me. Nevertheless, you should achieve similar results as long as you get a solid brush without any fancy effects on it and just reduce the opacity down to 20% and of course have the brush size pressure-controlled.

One last word. I’ve noticed legitimate comments getting caught in the spam filter. They look like this:

No, this is not cool. Please take the time to write an actual sentence to make sure that your comment goes through.

I know I’ll break down and watch Bakemonogatori, but the idea of watching a show based on Japanese language puns isn’t exactly the most appealing idea for a show. Still, hot girl, nice animation, strange humor? Hard to not want.

Your pic of Saber is a bit scary. Maybe “haunting” might be a better word. The serious, but perhaps sad look on her face really stands out well.

I discovered Bakemonogatari a couple of weeks ago and finished it last week. I was blown away by how humorous the dialog was, how unique the concept was and how well it concluded in only 12 episodes. Of course, I’m eagerly awaiting the last two web episodes and any future seasons produced.
Araragi was definitely my favorite character. He made way too many hilarious faces and I loved his emotive bit of hair that always stands up.

Senjougahara is definitely my favorite character out of most of the recent anime I’ve seen, I wish she was in more of the episodes than she was.

I love Bakemonogatari and practically all SHAFT shit. Limited animation has never been so nice.

Senjougahara grew on me to become a favorite, especially with that surprisingly endearing last (TV) episode. I’m hoping SHAFT gets the green light for the OVAs (which is probably inevitable; I hear it’s selling well), mostly because I want to see Shinobu/Araragi’s arc.

I’ll let you figure out who my favorite character was. I will say though, that it’s one of the most satisfying shows that I’ve watched recently.

After first ep. I was sure that they where going to go all style-over-substance (but ho what a style!), then it turned out to be a really good story behind it all, and the slick style might actually work against it by scaring away viewers.

Nether the less I enjoyed it immensely.

Japanator hype it an i thought it would a be a great show however imo it was decent. Indeed if i where familiar with the Japanese language/culture perhaps i would understand the subtle context of character but
    ~meh~

I’m with Awesomerobot i also wished that Senjougahara was more prominent in the series.
