I’m back.
I’m back from Thailand and have some crap from the sketch book I took with me. If it’s in color it’s done with prismacolors.
Secret Rings is a good game but it needs much polishing in order to be more user friendly.
I have more drawings but I’m saving them for another update. Thrifty thrifty!

The girl is amazing. She isn’t from Sonic too is she? I’ve never played any Sonic game don’t hurt me guyz… I’ve played Nights, is that ok?
on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 at 8:20 am:
Mr Paul, you’re gonna get hurt, big time :P
You haven’t lived, that’s like going through life without ever having sex. I would suggest you stop doing whatever constructive, useful things you’re spending your time with, and instead play the Megadrive Sonic games.
Go through them chronologically, so that you can appreciate the liquid sex addition of the super spin in Sonic 2.

Paul that is amazing that you’ve never played sonic. I wonder how you would receive it now actually seeing as most of us played it as tots. You get points for having played Nights though. That’s an experience that I’m pretty sure 90% of the gaming community missed.

Damn you and your lovely color sense.

is there some sort of Sonic ps2 ultimate collection with perfect emulation? What’s my best option aside from buying a megadrive and a sonic cart?
on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 at 9:39 pm:
Funny you should ask.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_Mega_Collection
But you should really just buy a Saturn and get Sonic Jam instead.

Don’t get mega collection. What a buzz kill.

I have a Saturn!
So Jam is better than Mega?
on Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 at 12:29 pm:
Sonic Mega Collection isn’t too bad. There’s also the sequal, Sonic Gems Collection, which includes Sonic CD. I can’t remember (and can’t be bothered to look up) what other games are on it, Sonic CD is the most important though, because prior to Gems Collection, it wasn’t a common game to get hold of.
Anyway, I’m going off topic. Yeah Sonic Jam is good also, it has a nicer feel to it, I think because it was made while games (and Sega) still had that personal feel. A lot of new stuff doesn’t seem to have any heart. Jam also has some nice options.
You can get Sonic through many different ways. But which ever you choose, just make sure you’re playing them at full speed 60 hertz. It’s crap at 50, which is what I had to put up with at first, in the UK. I think all games on Wii Virtual Console in the UK also run slower than they’re supposed to. They run at about 17% slower. I’m pretty sure both the Mega and Gems collections give you the choice of what speed, they’re also on all the last gen consoles.

Definitely do not skip Sonic CD, inbetween Sonic 1 and 2 if you’re gonna play them chronologically.
on Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at 12:15 am:
The Gems Collection for Gamecube has Sonic CD, Sonic R, and Sonic the Fighters (aka the unreleased and completely super duper rarest of all Sonic games ever, made by AM2 and only being available in like ten arcades in America ever, probably less in Australia).
Sonic Jam for the Saturn is really nice because it comes with a lot of programmed in options that are really useful. Things like having the Spin Dash in Sonic 1 along with having options for Easy, Normal, or Original game levels. It also comes with a bunch of commercials, animations, and a lot of other neat historical Sonic stuff.
On the other hand, Sonic Mega Collection is probably a hell of a lot easier to find and it’s for the PS2 too.
You should also find yourself the Sega Classics Collection for the PS2. I played Fantasy Zone and Outrun on that for months. :o

I never did figure out what the differences between Easy, Normal and Original modes where in Sonic Jam. I didn’t notice any difference… no wait, I remember Easy mode being different, but couldn’t see the changes between Normal and Original.
Who is the other character? To be honest, I thought it was a boy, but ‘Paul’ says girl. He/she looks familiar, it’s on the tip of my tongue. Definitely Sega.
on Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at 2:19 am:
Oh, I see the image file name is ‘Beatgirl’. Space Channel 5? I dunno :P
on Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at 8:15 pm:
I believe the differences were something like this:
-Easy took out some Acts, making 3 Act levels into 2 or sometimes 1 Act levels, put more rings and less enemies everywhere, and offered more lives or continues.
-Normal took out a few enemies, added some rings, but kept all the levels.
I’m not exactly sure but I think that was about it.

sonic jam is great because it has a weird 3D sonic game on it. which I actually beat! It’s a magical journey.
on Friday, June 15th, 2007 at 7:35 pm:
I think i’ll get jam because I want to play Sonic with the Saturn controller.
Also Radrappy post some more of your vacation drawings, your stuff is magic.
on Monday, June 18th, 2007 at 5:21 pm:
