Well, it’s understandable if you don’t know where this iconic monster came from, though Parasyte is a very worthy read (it’s currently being re-published in the US).
The template image actually originated from a Japanese artist networking site, which became like a meme or something. Apparently, it’s a Shaman King character (?).

Actually, it’s from a manga called Parasyte. The girl though I’m not so sure about. Seems to be the desu girl, Saskusai or something.

Doing some searching, the girl is Iron Maiden Jeanne, from Shaman King, though not her usual attire.
Wow, that’s very delightfully creepy. The girl lulls you in but the monster catches your attention.

I’ve read the manga.. interesting read. Really liked the characters and the content… lots of twist.
I thought one part of the Manga was cut short, with one of the main lady characters getting killed off. They could of done more with her story. And more with her in general and the main hero.
In general it feels like the manga was cut short.
