Shiny stuff depends on what you're using, and there are so many different methods. I guess you use Corel Painter or something, I'd recommend online tutorials. But I'm sure you already know that. I don't mind his stuff, but I do find some of his works a bit tacky on occasion. It's an original character, I guess! I wasn't putting much thought into it as I was doing it, I just went with it as I was drawing. It actually was supposed to just be a generic warrior girl initially but this is what came out. I need to learn to put more contrast into my shading. Somehow contrast terrifies me when I'm coloring but then the end result always looks really flat. Huh. I like this pic; it reminds me of the cover girl for Guild Wars.
