Taking a short break from this Pokemon madness, here’s a fast painting of the Heavy class in the upcoming Team Fortress 2. Not to worry, there will be a deluge of more sexy Pokemon girls (and guys) after this.
I paid almost no attention to TF2 initally, since I don’t really enjoy competitive FPS games that much. No, I never had Counter-Strike on my computer. But when I saw the most recent trailer of TF2, I was absolutely floored at the smoothness of the animation, especially with the facial expressions. It is totally on the caliber of Pixar renders, and I really took a liking to the art direction, too. Not to mention, the music in the trailers is kickass. Valve really does know how to make their FPS games; the only PC FPS I really enjoyed was Half-Life 2, which I spent the past winter break devoted to it. I’m already looking immensely forward to the release of the Black Box; Portal looks to be an amazing game as well. I only picked up my GeForce 7300 last summer and I’m already considering an upgrade when this comes out. Might as well wait for the release of Starcraft II, though. ;_;

I like the cartoony look of TF2. I don’t like all these serious FPS games. That’s why the last one I liked (nay, loved) was Timesplitters 3. Before then, I only really got into the original Quake, back when the genre wasn’t milked dry.
