Almost all my friends who played through Pokemon remarked to me how cute Cheryl was. Indeed, that was the first thing I thought when I saw her battle sprite in the game. Her little backstory seemed interesting, and I always thought you’d see her again, though she never does make an appearance other than the Battle Tower.
Here’s a little edit of the above picture; I think it’s better.

Speaking of Pokemon girls, there sure seem to be plenty good designs of them this time around. Cynthia has become my favorite, ursurping Lorelai from the first generation.

    I liked how they had random partners for you in caves and places that would’ve been annoying without them. Still, I wish they had more and that they played some other part in the game rather than just Battle Tower.

    But then again, it’s thanks to one of those guys that I now have an all too powerful Lucario. Mweheheh.

    It’s honey. I don’t remember if the English version actually mentioned that she was hunting for honey…

    in the english one she wasn’t searching for honey, she just needed to get through the forest and be useless. oh, but she did heal everything. yayz
